厦门大学非洲研究中心着力于在世界范围内展开对非洲及非洲族裔的跨学科研究及教学。非洲研究中心拟招聘助理教授若干名,诚挚邀请相关领域的青年才俊加盟,期待研究者们能够在跨学科背景下展开合作,并愿意发起本科生和研究生能够共同参与的高水平学术研究活动。
基本要求
1.具有良好的思想政治素养,持守学术道德并具备钻研精神,身心健康;
2.具有海内外知名高校、研究机构的博士学位,或相关专业最高学位;
3.应聘教授职务不超过45周岁(1975年1月1日之后出生),应聘副教授职务不超过40周岁(1980年1月1日之后出生),应聘助理教授(讲师)职务不超过35周岁(1985年1月1日之后出生);
4.具备对应职务的专业知识,并符合厦门大学各学科各级职务的其他任职条件。
5.新引进助理教授为准聘岗位,每个合同期为三年,总合同期不超过六年;合同期内通过考核评估并取得长聘岗位后方纳入事业编制管理。
6.应聘者需熟练掌握至少一门外语,拥有人类学、社会学,人口学或经济学方面学科背景。

the arc promotes multi-disciplinary research and teaching on africa and people of african descent worldwide. the faculty search reflects that mission’ the center will recruit several assistant professors, looks for faculty comfortable with teamwork in inter-disciplinary contexts, willing to initiate high level collaborative research involving undergraduate and graduate students
essential qualifications
1). applicants should possess sound ideological and political views, good moral qualities and research spirit, as well as physical and mental health.
2). applicants should possess a doctoral degree from a renowned overseas or domestic university or other research institutes, or the highest degree awarded in a relevant discipline.
3). be 45 years old or younger (born after january 1, 1975) for professorships; be 40 years old or younger (born after january 1, 1980) for associate professorships; be 35 years old or younger (born after january 1, 1985) for assistant professorships/lecturers.
4).applicants should possess the expertise of the corresponding positions, as well as other basic recruitment qualifications required by xiamen university.
5).all positions are tenure-track . the total contract period will not exceed six years. during the contract period, applicants can only get a formal position after passing the assessment.
